Mass commemorating 99th anniversary of Gaudí’s death

The Cardinal delegated Bishop David Abadías to lead the mass giving thanks for the title of Venerable Pope Francis bestowed on Antoni Gaudí on 14 April. This recognition is another step on the path to beatification. The mass was concelebrated by Cardinal Joan Josep Omella i Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona; Mons. Joan Planellas, Archbishop of Tarragona; Mons. Javier Vilanova, Auxiliary Bishop of Barcelona; and Mons. Xabier Gómez, Bishop of Sant Feliu.

On the same day, from 12:30 pm to 7:00 pm, the crypt was open so the public could visit Antoni Gaudí’s tomb and pay tribute to him.
